The trustees of inspiration in the Apollonian retinue were nine – so in creating the
Muse collection, we decided not to separate them.
The lampshades of Urania’s were made of natural Spanish alabaster – a material
with an amazing ability to transmit beams of light. The glow thus diffused becomes
extremely soft and delicate, creating a uniquely sensual aura in the room. The
chandelier’s peculiarity is added by the noble brass finish, reminiscent of the truest
gold, which with time will be covered with a charming patina and become a symbol of
unhurriedly gliding time. The second option is a silver nickel finish.
The combination of marble-like alabaster and shining brass in the sunlight refers
back to the image of the ancient world in all its glory. Inspired by the ancient rules of
harmony, tranquility and balance, the chandelier is an excellent choice for both
strictly classical and modern interiors looking for something a little out of the ordinary.
Regardless of their surroundings, all three Uranas are sure to steal the hearts and
gazes present in the interior, however – as befits noble goddesses – in return they will
give a priceless sense of comfort intertwined with tender nostalgia.
Did you know that…
…alabaster is a compact, translucent, white or slightly coloured mineral that is a fine-grained variety of gypsum? Lampshades made from a single block of stone vary both in colour, which can take on pinkish, slightly beige and often completely white tones, and in texture – some shapes are crossed by dark veins, others remain in a uniform light tone. Each illuminated inside intrigues with a different drawing. The colour of the bulb can accentuate their pure white or give them a very warm honey glow.
Due to the natural properties of alabaster, small more heavily calcified clusters of less transparent grains sometimes appear inside the walls of the lampshade; these are more visible when the lamp is lit, but they are not a defect of the lampshade, merely a natural consequence of the construction of the material from which they are made.
