The collection includes charming single pendant lamps, elegant wall sconces, and impressive chandeliers. Each piece combines alabaster-which looks like ancient marble and softly spreads light-with silvery nickel or golden details made from natural brass. Muses collection is a special tribute to the time when gold and the creamy white of precious stones were considered the eighth wonder of the world.
…alabaster is a compact, translucent, white or slightly coloured mineral that is a fine-grained variety of gypsum? Lampshades made from a single block of stone vary both in colour, which can take on pinkish, slightly beige and often completely white tones, and in texture – some shapes are crossed by dark veins, others remain in a uniform light tone. Each illuminated inside intrigues with a different drawing. The colour of the bulb can accentuate their pure white or give them a very warm honey glow.
Due to the natural properties of alabaster, small more heavily calcified clusters of less transparent grains sometimes appear inside the walls of the lampshade; these are more visible when the lamp is lit, but they are not a defect of the lampshade, merely a natural consequence of the construction of the material from which they are made.
The Muses as patronesses of art and confidants of inspiration seemed to us the most appropriate choice. Their mystery, subtlety and charisma can be seen in the shape we decided to give to the lampshades made of alabaster – a unique stone that looks like ancient marble and is characterized by its ability to transmit light. The collection is based on two shapes of lampshades and features single charming pendant lamps, exquisite wall lamps and majestic chandeliers. Each of the designs is a combination of alabaster with golden, precious natural brass details – a unique flashback to the days when divine gold and creamy white gemstones were the eighth wonder of the world.
The Urania lamp, casting a soft, enveloping glow, holds the most delicate memories of bygone times. Its alabaster shade possesses a rare ability to transmit light, diffusing it naturally in an exceptionally gentle and sensual manner. The effect is truly Edenic. Soft light and a delicate reflective aura fill the space, imparting an atmosphere of calm and quiet elegance. The slender form of the shade is accentuated by vertical carvings that recall ancient columns.
