of glass lights
of the matter
The basis of our work are natural materials, which we at Embassy, do not try to idealize by force. The natural brass in our collections ages, over time covering with a charming patina.
The glass is made using mouth blown opaline glass. This original technique gives a patina and depth of colour unmatched by modern glass making production lines.
Embassy’s language, although devoid of unnecessary ornamentation, is distinguished by a unique poetics of shapes. We make no secret of our fascination with female figures of the modernist era, such as Eileen Gray and Marianne Brandt.
An important part of the creative process is the phase of searching for inspiration. We are enchanted by the style of Art Deco and at the same time passionate about the ideology of Bauhaus, which for as is the font of many values, even if instead of that almost biblical concept of “form follows function”, we are more inclined to REPEAT AFTER OSCAR NIEMEYER:
FORM follows BEAUTY!
We are convinced that the light exerts a magical influence on our mood and we would like to capture this magic in all the lamps created by Embassy.
