The lampshade of the Bibe double chandelier with a harmonious, geometric donut shape was inspired by the Bibendum armchair designed by Eileen Gray. It is a soft and subtle lamp, complementing raw modernism with delicacy and a note of femininity.
The milky white lampshades are made of three-layer opal glass, which was hand-blown into a mold by craftsmen from a local glassworks. The constellation is based on a sling with an adjustable angle of the lampshades. For the mounting, we chose natural, solid brass, which acquires a beautiful atmospheric patina over time.
The Bibe chandelier is a classic inspired by the first lady of modernist design. A house is not a living machine. It is the shell of man, his extension, his release, his spiritual emanation – Gray used to say. We couldn’t agree more with this, so following her most famous design, we created a sensitive, feminine and delicate lamp.
