As one of the nine Muses, Calliope is not used to solitude. It is definitely more natural
for her to have company in the triadic chandelier from the Muse collection.
The lampshades of all three are made of natural Spanish alabaster. This marble-like
material has a unique ability to transmit light. The beams thus dispersed create a
beautiful, sensual glow of soft radiance. The chandelier is crowned with elements of
solid brass, which originally reminds us of precious gold, and after time, covered with
patina, of the passage of time. The second option is a silver nickel finish.
Used already in ancient Greece, the charming medium and precious metal, bearing
the name of aurum in antiquity – here is one of the most classic combinations,
directly referring to the sublime antiquity. The Calliope triple chandelier will perfectly
fit into interiors that refer to this era, as well as contemporary spaces, betting on an
original finish. The chandelier – as if an inversion of the figure of Medusa – will
enchant all watching eyes. As she herself exists in stone, she can already give only
the beauty of the moment, peace of soul and nostalgic comfort in return.
Did you know that…
…alabaster is a compact, translucent, white or slightly coloured mineral that is a fine-grained variety of gypsum? Lampshades made from a single block of stone vary both in colour, which can take on pinkish, slightly beige and often completely white tones, and in texture – some shapes are crossed by dark veins, others remain in a uniform light tone. Each illuminated inside intrigues with a different drawing. The colour of the bulb can accentuate their pure white or give them a very warm honey glow.
Due to the natural properties of alabaster, small more heavily calcified clusters of less transparent grains sometimes appear inside the walls of the lampshade; these are more visible when the lamp is lit, but they are not a defect of the lampshade, merely a natural consequence of the construction of the material from which they are made.
