FINISHING

wHAT MAKES US STAND OUT?

Unlike many other lighting manufacturers who use mass-produced fixtures stamped from thin sheet metal, our details are individually designed in Embassy’s workshop and cast from solid brass.

● at the very beginning we design a shape, a prototype which is 3D printed and tested with a lampshade;
● later a casting mold is prepared and brass is cast in it;
● then the casting is machined (on the turning machine)
● in the final stage we polish and wax its surface by hand.

Brass can also be plated with nickel in an electroplating bath for a silver finish. Sometimes we carry out individual orders and paint the metal parts in the color chosen by the customer.

Natural

Brass

The surface of the brass is hand-polished with a special museum wax. According to our assumption, over time the brass should darken and become covered with patina. Such a finish has a more noble, less flashy expression, in order for this process to occur evenly one should use the included cotton gloves during installation, otherwise darker stains will appear. This is not a problem, and if someone wants to remove them or prefers a shiny finish, they can use a brass cleaner. The brass will take on its original color and shine.

Nickel

In the nickel-plated version, the elements made of solid brass are coated with a layer of nickel. Nickel is a silvery-white metal with a slight golden tint characterized by a very high gloss.
