Calliope, as one of the nine Muses, feels best in company – that’s why we believe
she will be comfortable with her three soulmates in the Muse collection.
The chandelier consists of four lamps, whose shades are made of natural Spanish
alabaster. This unique material is characterized by a rare ability to transmit beams of
light, so that the interior is enveloped by an extremely soft and subtle glow, bringing
harmony, tranquility and a comfortable mood. The culmination of the whole are
elements made of solid brass, which, shimmering in the sun, brings to mind precious
gold, and after time is wrapped in a charming patina and rather draws attention to
the unhurried passing of time. The second option is a silver nickel finish.
The classics of this combination enchant at first sight. Reminiscent of marble,
alabaster sends thoughts back to the most beautiful sculptures of antiquity, and
golden brass recalls the glory of the period. The quadruple chandelier with Calliope
lamps is an excellent choice for both classic and more modern spaces that are
looking for an unusual finish. It is a proposal that will bring warmth, tranquility and a
touch of nostalgic comfort to the interior.
Did you know that…
…alabaster is a compact, translucent, white or slightly coloured mineral that is a fine-grained variety of gypsum? Lampshades made from a single block of stone vary both in colour, which can take on pinkish, slightly beige and often completely white tones, and in texture – some shapes are crossed by dark veins, others remain in a uniform light tone. Each illuminated inside intrigues with a different drawing. The colour of the bulb can accentuate their pure white or give them a very warm honey glow.
Due to the natural properties of alabaster, small more heavily calcified clusters of less transparent grains sometimes appear inside the walls of the lampshade; these are more visible when the lamp is lit, but they are not a defect of the lampshade, merely a natural consequence of the construction of the material from which they are made.
