Electra is an elegant wall lamp made of natural alabaster, and part of our new Pleiades collection – a series of lamps inspired by one of the most recognizable star clusters in the night sky. In astronomy, Electra is one of the brightest and most distinctive stars of the Pleiades. Its expressive, gently shimmering glow inspired a form that combines minimalism with subtle dynamism.

The Electra wall lamp stands out with its delicately scalloped shade edges. This detail gives the lamp a unique character – it is what makes the alabaster break and diffuse light in such an intriguing way. As a result, Electra casts fine reflections and soft shadows on the wall, reminiscent of illuminated dust clouds surrounding the star.

For Electra, we sourced Spanish alabaster, known for its beautiful translucency. When lit, the wall lamp creates a soft, delicate glow that evokes the radiance of stars. Additionally, the shade’s mounting is completely invisible, allowing full attention to remain on the alabaster and its natural texture. The wall lamp appears to float on the wall like a luminous form suspended in space.

The lamp is available in two versions. Patterned alabaster features a pronounced, natural veining with organic lines and subtle tonal transitions. It is perfect for interiors where individuality and material depth matter. White alabaster, on the other hand, is calm and understated, yet still carries the distinct character of stone. It pairs beautifully with other natural materials and textures, adding a subtle charm to the space without competing with them.

Like a single star in the night sky, the Electra wall lamp can serve as a refined lighting accent. It also pairs beautifully in sets, creating a harmonious and subtle lighting arrangement. Did you know that…

…alabaster is a compact, translucent, white or slightly coloured mineral that is a fine-grained variety of gypsum? Lampshades made from a single block of stone vary both in colour, which can take on pinkish, slightly beige and often completely white tones, and in texture – some shapes are crossed by dark veins, others remain in a uniform light tone. Each illuminated inside intrigues with a different drawing. The colour of the bulb can accentuate their pure white or give them a very warm honey glow.

Due to the natural properties of alabaster, small more heavily calcified clusters of less transparent grains sometimes appear inside the walls of the lampshade; these are more visible when the lamp is lit, but they are not a defect of the lampshade, merely a natural consequence of the construction of the material from which they are made.
