Description

Hundreds of people took souvenir photos with the MS Batory’s lifebuoy. And no wonder – the ship has received the well-deserved title of a floating salon and embassy of Polish culture. The small, delightfully detailed Buoy wall lamp is part of a collection designed as a tribute to this legendary transatlantic ship, which can be called a floating masterpiece.

The minimalist lampshade made of three-layer opal glass was hand-blown by local Polish glassmakers. The harmonious, simple rondel shape directly refers to the name of the lamp, which just means lifebuoy. The fixture made of durable natural brass refers to the characteristic shape of the ship’s windows, known as portholes. The lamp is available in two finishes: brass and nickel.

MS Batory was an exceptional, unique ship. Its interior was decorated with beautiful paintings, leather sofas and glass tables in the art déco style. It was travelled by Poland’s elite: politicians, artists, journalists. Every outstanding ship must have its lifebuoy – that is why the Buoy lamp is in our collection.
