Wrapping the space with a soft glow, Urania hides the fondest memories of a bygone
era.
The lampshade was made of an extraordinary material – alabaster. Resembling
precious marble, the aggregate is distinguished by its unparalleled ability to transmit
beams of light, so that it naturally diffuses them in an extremely delicate and sensual
way. The effect obtained in this way is truly Edenic. The space is covered not only
with a subtle glow, but also with a reflective aura and soothing mood. The luminous
lampshade is finished with natural brass, which will be covered with a charismatic
patina over time. The second option is a silver nickel finish.
Gold and gemstone is one of the most classic combinations. Drawing from
harmonious antiquity, Urania is definitely a sophisticated proposal, which will fit
beautifully into both interiors inspired by the past and modern spaces, where it will
successfully prove to be an original element. Regardless of its surroundings, Urania
is sure to seduce with gaze.
Did you know that…
…alabaster is a compact, translucent, white or slightly coloured mineral that is a fine-grained variety of gypsum? Lampshades made from a single block of stone vary both in colour, which can take on pinkish, slightly beige and often completely white tones, and in texture – some shapes are crossed by dark veins, others remain in a uniform light tone. Each illuminated inside intrigues with a different drawing. The colour of the bulb can accentuate their pure white or give them a very warm honey glow.
Due to the natural properties of alabaster, small more heavily calcified clusters of less transparent grains sometimes appear inside the walls of the lampshade; these are more visible when the lamp is lit, but they are not a defect of the lampshade, merely a natural consequence of the construction of the material from which they are made.
